The story behind our company
Mespil Solar Energy have been developing utility-scale energy projects in Great Britan, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland since 2013. Mespil’s management team have a proven track-record of delivering projects – from initial site selection, land leasing and regulatory approvals to farm and facility build-out and grid connection. To date we have developed, built, and sold several in the UK.
Now the company’s focus is to develop over 700 Mw (Megawatts) of solar + battery projects in Europe over the course of the next three years. This would establish the Company as a substantial provider of renewable electric power in the market. We have a strong experienced team who work closely with our partners to provide fully funded, high quality solutions.
The Company intends to further its business by directly owning and operating the projects that it develops. As an owner-operator, the Company will sell the solar electricity it produces on a wholesale basis to Energy Purchasers for ultimate sale and delivery to businesses and consumers. Historically, our customers have been investment funds, such as the Foresight Group, Oxford Capital & Armstrong Energy, whо have purchased our completed projects. Under our current plans, our customers will be the purchasers of the electricity we produce.
The Company maintains the capabilities to perform and/or manage all aspects of project development, build-out, operations and corporate management. These capabilities include, site selection, legal, regulatory approval, grid approval, planning, build-out, grid connection, operations and maintenance, and health & safety. The Company believes that having all required and necessary skillsets and capabilities provide it with significant competitive advantages.
